Just a month ago on 20th April 2018, the world lost one of the most talented producers, Avicii. The news became viral and every Avicii fan around the world got sad after listening to the news. He was one of the best producer and a good human being. His songs always topped the charts and also made it to everybody’s playlist.
Before his death, he was planning to release a new album and he already had around 200 unreleased songs on his computer.
Post Avicii’s death, Neil Gibson, the president of Geffen Records had an interview with Variety where he revealed that Avicii’s unreleased music was his ‘Best Music in Years.’ And, this is what he had to say when asked whether the unreleased music will ever see the light of day:
I have no idea. I’m going to sit down and talk to the family once everybody has a chance to take a breath. I’ve never actually had this happen with an artist I’ve worked with before and this closely. So, I don’t know. We’ll try to get some advice from the family and everybody’s going to put their heads together and try and do what we think Tim would want us to do.’
According to latest reports from Swedish magazine Aftonbladet, Tim’s family has been in confidential meetings with his record company representatives and partners regarding the album’s release later this year. Over 200 unreleased songs of Tim will be reviewed for the album. It is yet to be decided as to who will produce the album.
That’s all we have for now. Stay tuned for further updates.
