Chart-topping artists Neha Kakkar, Honey Singh, and Tony Kakkar join forces for the biggest non-film music. Previously, the announcement of “Kanta Laga” had already hyped the interests of the audience. President and Managing Director of Desi Music Factory, Anshul Garg had already hinted that when the three groundbreaking artists are about to unite, the song is destined to be a legit hit!
Expected to be released on September 2, Neha Kakkar and Honey Singh took to their social handles and shared that owing to the untimely demise of actor Siddharth Shukla, they had to postpone the release. On September 5, 2021, the track got released on YouTube.Written and composed by Kakkar brother, the song is directed by Mihir Gulati and produced by Desi Music Factory.
Previously, the melody queen Neha Kakkar collaborated both with brother Tony Kakkar on party bangers like “Dheeme Dheeme”, “Goa Wale Beach”, “Kurta Pajama” and with rap-star Honey Singh on non-film singles like “Makhna”, “Mashuka”, “Saiyaan Ji”, “Manali Trance” and a lot more.
This time the audience expected a somewhat bombarding track drop from the trio as one of the sources close to the music label added, “There will soon be an official announcement on the front of Indian hitmaker Tony Kakkar, melody queen Neha Kakkar and star rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh uniting for a song. This shall be one of the most ambitious collaborations in the non-film music scene”.
However, unfortunately, to everyone’s horror, the song proved to be a massive disaster! Fans have bashed the artists claiming that the lyrics of the song are meaningless, the tune of the song is monotonous, the setup is ungainly and the costumes are too ugly and jarring. Even Neha’s husband Rohanpreet Singh got trolled too for replying to her tease. “Hey Goddess! You and Your Voiceee..” commented Rohanpreet, to which one of the Instagram users replied, “bhai tujhe music samajh aata hai?” People have been making memes and trolling them all over social media. People are furious over the trio for using legendary Lata Mangeshkar’s name in their music and disrespecting music. Honey Singh and Kakkar duo’s latest offering seems to leave a bad aftertaste!
