Delhi Govt. Initiates "Music Bus" to Stand By the Unventured Talents

On Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia launched India’s first “Mobile Music Bus” in an attempt to aid the children of the Delhi government wanting to build their career in music. It aims to provide training in audio production and video production through a media-based curriculum and help those underprivileged students pursue their careers in these fields.

Under this project, a bus has been transformed into a supreme moving ‘Music Bus’ with a high-quality music production studio and a performance stage. The “Music Bus Studio” also comprises a Smart TV aimed to promote digital educational videos on music on issues related to socio-emotional health and well-being. It’s also equipped with adequate power backup to run consistently for 8hours even without electricity.

Introduced by Manzil Mystics – a group of children studying under the Delhi Government, this project is funded by SBI Card under CSR. The “Music Bus Studio” is aimed to provide training to the children of low-income communities in graphic designing, film, and music production through various interactive workshops and help them build sustainable careers in these areas.

Targeted to reach nearly 5000 children from government schools in Delhi, the “Music Bus Studio” will organize weekly workshops and monthly happy circles to provide wider exposure to the children which would act as a catalyst enhancing their performance.

Sisodia said, “every family expects their children to have some artistic talents, but when the child wants to make art his passion, they are advised to pay more attention to studies.” Thus, he started the School of Specialized Excellence for the young talents to take art as their career. He said, “The School will ensure that for an artist, art is their education.”

This artistic initiative by the Government is expected to benefit several underprivileged children and make sure that no talent dies un-nurtured.
